Irene Marshall, 48 years young a current resident of northern California. For four years I had my own handmade craft business where I crafted items using different mediums such as painting, wood working and fabrics, which I sold at a local craft store. Although I found it enjoyable and successful, I was not able to express myself as I hoped to.
With new demands in life I needed to seek out a more lucrative way of making living, while still using my desire to be creative. So I enrolled at Silicon Valley College in California, where I earned a certificate in Graphic Design, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and a place on the Dean's List. After working for two years as a graphic designer for a small publishing company I found myself unemployed due to the lagging economy. Still needing an outlet for my creativity and to express myself, I picked up my camera and started shooting, for me it was the perfect medium for me to express what I see and feel.
